Asians sought over Bolton rape

Three Asian men are being urged to come forward after a teenager was raped in a Bolton Street, the three men aged between 20 and 27 were seen talking to the girl shortly before the attack.

The brutal assault took place in the early hours of Friday morning in an alleyway in Astley Bridge.

Police say the attacker was Asian, medium build and had black spiky hair, he was wearing a distinctive black top emblazoned with a diamante or 'bling' motif across the chest, and he was also wearing blue jeans.


The girl, in her late teens, was treated at St Mary's Centre in Manchester.

Detective Sergeant Rob Parker, of Bolton CID, said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation to try and find out who is responsible for this attack and I believe someone living locally will know the culprit.”

He went on to say "There is no cause for alarm but it is only right we make people in the community aware of what has happened.”
